Nominations have opened for the award that recognises the amazing contributions of individuals, groups, and organisations in the Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB)
The David Wood National Landscape Award recognises the hard work and outstanding contributions by people to make the area an even better place for wildlife, communities, and visitors alike.
Anyone can be put forward for the award if you believe they have made an outstanding contribution to the AONB in the following areas:
- Landscape and farming
- Biodiversity
- Tourism
- Community engagement
- Outdoor education
- Culture or heritage
- Access to the countryside
The award is named after David Wood, the former Chairman of the Coast and Heaths AONB Partnership and devoted advocate for the area.
Last year’s winner was Timothy Holt-Wilson for his outstanding work towards outdoor education and for inspiring many children and adults with his enthusiasm for geology in the area.
Nominations can be made online. The closing date for nominations is Monday 31st January 2022.
