Nominations have opened for the award that recognises the amazing contributions of individuals, groups, and organisations in the Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB)
The David Wood National Landscape Award recognises the hard work and outstanding contributions by people to make the area an even better place for wildlife, communities, and visitors alike.
Anyone can be put forward for the award if you believe they have made an outstanding contribution to the AONB in areas such as landscape and farming, biodiversity, tourism, community engagement, outdoor education, culture or heritage and access to the countryside.
The award is named after David Wood, the former Chairman of the Coast and Heaths AONB Partnership and devoted advocate for the area.
Last year’s winner was Steve Piotrowski, who has been a force for nature within the ornithological community in Suffolk for more than 50 years, was named as the recipient of the Award for his outstanding services to the AONB.
