Climate Change

Climate change is one of the most important challenges faced by society today and it has already started to shape the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty landscape and the wildlife within it.

When reading about climate change, the language and statistics involved can be confusing, and the discussions around what impact it will have on us and the planet in the future can be scary or overwhelming.

Taking place on Thursday 17th November, the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty jointly hosted a free 60-minute online talk and Q&A.

During the event we covered:

  1. How climate change is negatively impacting upon people and nature
  2. How you can be part of the solution
  3. Answer your climate change questions

The speakers at the event were:

  • Alex Moore da Luz, AONB Nature Recovery Officer
  • Abigail Blake, Climate Emergency Communications and Engagement Officer of the Suffolk Climate Emergency Plan
  • Dave Smart, Nature Recovery Partnership Manager.
