Corporate Volunteering
The Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape team can organise volunteering events for businesses and corporate groups.
These events are often popular for team-building, encouraging employees to be healthy and active, and promoting volunteer in the local environment.
Obviously, the National Landscape team incurs costs when organising and delivering a safe volunteer experience for your group that leaves a positive legacy for environment, people and landscape.
We will look to cover these costs partly or in full by seeking a donation of £30 per person (minimum of 6 people, maximum of 15 people – the final number of people will depend on the work and site finally agreed upon).
The Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape is funded by the public purse and there we must ensure we deliver value for money for the taxpayer and seek to recover costs where we can. Please note that we only start to recover our full costs when we host 14 or more volunteers.
The donation cost associated with our corporate volunteer day package is based upon the following operating costs:
1 Staff Time
- Contacting site owners/managers - £13.50
- Pre-task Site Visits - time on site - £27.00
- Task Admin (other than H&S) - £13.50
- Completing Point of Work Risk Assessment - £13-50
- Tools/Equipment Maintenance - £27.00
- Loading/Unloading Vehicles - £40.50
- Travel - to pre-event site visits/actual task day - £67.50
- Supporting the task day - £216.00
- Total cost - £418.50

3. Tea, coffee and light break-time refreshments (but not lunch)
