Trail running isn’t just for experienced runners or ultra-athletes – many routes in Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) are suitable for people of any level, even if you have never run before!
Join us for our free-of-charge AONB trail running taster sessions to have a go in a fun, no-pressure environment. Sessions are open to people of all abilities, with options to run as little as 2.5km, or as much as 10km on our guided routes.
Why take up trail running? Running in a great way to get outdoors, improve your fitness and mental wellbeing, explore your local surroundings, and socialise with others.
The Coast & Heaths AONB boasts hundreds of miles of off-road public footpaths, allowing for endless adventures by foot in this special protected landscape.
Joining one of our free guided trail runs takes away the stress of planning your route or getting lost, improving your knowledge of the AONB and countryside navigation skills along the way.
Taster sessions will be led by trail running coach, Tom Wake, who has many years of experiencing coaching people of all levels and is a Salomon sponsored ambassador.
Numerous routes are available to join, from trails under the tree canopies in Rendlesham Forest to estuary views at Orwell Country Park. Find out all locations and dates and book online for free.
These sessions have been funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of the AONB’s ‘Celebrating 50 Years’ project.
