Suffolk Refugee Support group visit to Flatford

Refugee group

For National Inclusion Week, the Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty team took a small group of women from Suffolk Refugee Support to Flatford, as part of our ongoing Landscapes for All initiatives.

The group of women had an amazing day trying to identify everything in this special landscape, from flora and fauna, to the history of the area and architecture.

They group loved visiting the church in East Bergholt and learning about the history of the village, made famous by some of the country’s finest artists.

Feedback from the day included:

“Thank you for lovely day. We like to see the water and the swans”

“Please can we go again? I like the church and the beautiful windows”

“I can’t believe I walked 3 miles with lovely people, thank you”
