Ukrainian refugee visit to Dunwich Heath

This week, the National Landscape team worked with Suffolk Refugee Support to bring a group of Ukrainian women to Dunwich Heath National Trust.

The group caught the train from Ipswich to Darsham and then the Connecting Communities bus service to Dunwich where they walked the Sandlings Walk path to the famous Coastguard Cottages.

The women were in awe of the heath and cannot wait to visit when it flowers in August!

The walk was one of a series of Landscapes for All events organised by the National Landscape, with funding from the Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths Sustainable Development Fund.
