More than £40,000 in environmental grants is available to support community projects across the Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape.
Individuals as well as organisations such as schools, businesses and community groups are encouraged to apply for funding available across the Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape.
The Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape stretches from Kessingland in North Suffolk, down along the coast to the Stour Estuary in North Essex. The area is designated as a National Landscape because of its natural beauty and national importance.
The Sustainable Development Fund aims to support projects that conserve and enhance the area and benefit communities socially, environmentally, and economically.
Previous examples of projects funded include art workshops for people with mental illness, new fencing and gates for nature and wildlife reserves, rural training for young people, as well as visitor information at well-known landmarks in the area.
Projects that support wildlife conservation, access and diversity, climate change, health and wellbeing, learning, or heritage are particularly encouraged. The closing date for applications is Friday 24th May 2024.
