We are saddened to say that Neil Lister, our long-serving Countryside Projects Officer, has retired from the National Landscape team.
Neil Lister has provided outstanding service for over 30 years to the National Landscapes. He has undertaken most of the roles within the team and has always brought his outstanding skills in countryside management to the table.
Neil’s encyclopaedic knowledge of the nationally designated landscape, (he never reveals his favourite spot but many suspect it relates to a nature reserve on the coast!), is unrivalled.
Colleagues, volunteers and parish, district and county councillors will miss his knowledge and pragmatic approach. The Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape will lose a great advocate.
John Watkins, Chief Executive, National Landscapes Association adds:
“I’d like to add my appreciation for the work that Neil has done to deliver National Landscape purpose over his career that extends to an incredible 30 years. His work has been outstanding and made a great difference to the Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape.”
Volunteer tasks will continue to take place regularly in the Coast & Heaths, with Project Officer, Jack Pynn, stepping in temporarily as well as Alex Moore da Luz.
